Medicare Part A – Hospital Insurance
Medicare Part A is often called hospital insurance which helps cover inpatient medical needs.
What Part A Covers
Inpatient care (when you’re admitted to the hospital)
Skilled nursing facility care (short-term recovery, not long-term care)
Hospice care
Home health care (certain services at home when medically necessary)
Costs of Part A
Your costs will include your premium and any deductibles, copays or coinsurance while using the plan.

Original Medicare Alone Leaves Big Gaps
Original Medicare (Parts A and Part B) gives you a base layer of coverage, but it can still leave you paying a lot out-of-pocket. Hospital deductibles, coinsurance, and long hospital stays can add up quickly and Medicare doesn’t have a maximum limit!
